Pediatric Neurosurgeon

Dr. Kaveh Asadi is a board-certified pediatric and adult neurosurgeon with more than 20 years of experience treating complex brain and spinal disorders in children. He is based at the renowned Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he leads a dedicated team focused on delivering advanced neurosurgical care with compassion and precision.

Training & Career

Dr. Asadi completed his medical degree at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and earned his Ph.D. from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in Germany. He went on to complete neurosurgical residency training at The Ohio State University and a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Before joining the Paley Institute, Dr. Asadi was Director of Pediatric Skull Base Surgery and Neurosurgical Oncology and Co-Director of the Craniofacial Surgery and Neurofibromatosis Center at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando.

Expertise

Over the course of more than 3,500 neurosurgical procedures, Dr. Asadi has developed deep expertise in:

  • Spasticity and cerebral palsy surgery – including selective dorsal rhizotomy and integrated spasticity management.
  • Spinal procedures – tethered cord release, foramen magnum decompression, and minimally invasive spine surgery.
  • Craniofacial surgery – correction of skull and facial abnormalities.
  • Brain tumors and complex syndromic conditions – specialized care for rare pediatric disorders.

His minimally invasive techniques are designed to reduce pain, speed recovery, and improve long-term outcomes. By working closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other specialists at the Paley Institute, Dr. Asadi ensures children with spasticity, arthrogryposis, achondroplasia, and related conditions receive truly integrated, world-class care.

He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), the AANS/CNS Section on Pediatric Neurosurgery, and the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN).

When he’s not in the OR, Dr. Asadi is passionate about mentoring the next generation of neurosurgeons. He also treasures time with his family, whether it’s traveling, exploring the outdoors, or enjoying Florida’s theme parks.
